The Almur Khalaf Ahmad Al Otaiba Memorial School
ECF Children’s Fund Village
In loving memory of Almur Khalaf Ahmad Al Otaiba, the school at the ECF Children’s Fund Village has been renamed the Almur Khalaf Ahmad Al Otaiba Memorial School. This tribute honors a remarkable young man whose life was marked by kindness, humor, and compassion.
Almur was the youngest of his siblings, raised in a warm and loving family. He was a joyful spirit who brought happiness wherever he went. His infectious laughter, unique sense of humor, and caring heart made him deeply loved by all who knew him—as a son, brother, and friend.
Almur had a passion for life. He loved automobiles, falconry, and animals of all kinds. But more than his hobbies, it was Almur’s character that truly stood out. A natural leader with a generous heart, he lived with honesty, integrity, and an unwavering desire to help others. Almur embodied values that continue to inspire those whose lives he touched. He will always be remembered with love, admiration, and a smile.
In recognition of Almur’s legacy, and thanks to the extraordinary generosity of the Al Otaiba family, the school now bears his name. Their commitment ensures lifetime support for the children of the ECF Village and reflects a deep belief in the power of education to transform lives.
The ECF board, staff, and—most importantly—our students, extend heartfelt gratitude to the Al Otaiba family for their enduring support and for becoming an integral part of the ECF family. Your gift, made in loving memory of Almur, will continue to change lives for generations of Ethiopian children.
